Who we are?
The IOAA is an informal alliance of people who work in food business companies active with organic agave syrup.
Starting in 2009, a small group of people in North America and Mexico began conversations about two interrelated issue:
- There was no common access point for sound information about agave syrup -
- There were unfounded attacks on agave syrup that were not supportable -
From these discussions it was agreed to pool resources to gather and publish the known information.
The mission of IOAA is not to promote one position or company, rather:
Provide clear, sound, and thoroughly documented information
about agave syrup as a sweetener alternative.
Membership is available to all companies that produce or purchase organic agave syrup.
